Really excited to learn from Pak Toni of how to prepare the PMI-ACP exam at OMM 101 by PMI Indonesia Chapter on 28 August 2019. We met some old and new friends, and discussed a lot about how agile mindset is crucial and the agile value is important in building the agile culture.
And finally I do hope this can push me to schedule the exam as soon as possible.
We’re almost there! We had our 10th study group on 28 August 2019 at Indosat Ooredoo with the Project Procurement Management as the topic, not an easy one I guess. But there were two mentors in charge and I do hope they helped the PMP aspirants a lot, since there are many tools and techniques to understand despite only 3 processes.

We had our 9th session of PMP study group 21 August 2019 at Indosat Ooredoo with the Project Risk Management as the topic. And we’ve reached 80% of the knowledge area and I do hope the PMP aspirants keep the discipline to complete the rest of the knowledge area. Good job!
We had our 8th session of our PMP study group on 14 August 2019 at Indosat Ooredoo. Communication is one of the critical success factors in the project. While Project Communications Management only consists of three processes in PMBOK 6th Edition, the questions can be little tricky and harder to solve. That is why I always emphasize it is crucial the practice as many questions as possible on this knowledge area. Keep up the good work and the spirit!
It’s been exactly 20 years ago, when I went to Germany for my study. A lot of memorable experiences I have had during my 9-year stay in Germany, and many ups and downs I have been through. And since 5 August 2019, for giving back my experiences I have signed with Euro Management to be part-time consultant. My task is to give motivation and guidance to the high-school students who plan to go study in Germany, e.g., how student life in Germany looks like, what do they have to prepare, what awaits them in Germany, etc.

So, now we entered the second half part of PMBOK, project resource management. I’m happy that new mentors have stepped up to do the 7th session of our PMP study group on 7 August 2019 at Indosat Ooredoo. Only 4 knowledge areas left, I hope they will be able to decide the exam date after 8th session (Project Risk Management)!
We had our 6th session of study group on 31 July 2019 at Indosat Ooredoo by having a mid-term PMP exam simulation from project integration to quality management. Next week we will continue with 6th knowledge area, which is Project Resource Management. Time goes by and will need to put the exam date very soon!
It was fun to give MS Project 2016 training to Hutama Karya. We learned that, before we develop the schedule, it is necessary to define the total scope of the project as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and that there are important steps to follow: to map WBS to Task in MS Project, to baseline the schedule, and then, we will be able to do Earned Value Analysis and finally to view the S-Curve.
I hope what we have learned and practiced from 3-day training (29-31 July 2019 organized by Bangun Energi) can be applied and it is crucial to have a pilot project to which all the best practices can be implemented properly. Good luck, guys!
